What age do I have to be to start PKA-Kickboxing?
Kickboxing is available to all ages and is structured to the individual. Men, Women, and Children all benefit. Some Instructors run Children only classes so please check our class timetables as age ranges may differ. In addition some Instructors run Ladies only classes so again please check our class time tables.

How fit do I have to be?
All new students are treated as unfit so we start everybody off slowly until your desired level of fitness is reached.

How often do I have to train?
Most students train once a week but more lessons are available if desired. Home practice is positively encouraged and all Instructors will help with advice. In addition our DVD's are an invaluable resource as help you remember what has been taught in class.

Are the Instructors qualified?
All PKA-Kickboxing Instructors go through rigorous training to ensure that they meet our very high standards and are approachable at all times. In addition to their own insurance they are Enhanced CRB Police Checked for their suitability for working with children and have UK Nationally recognised Coaching Awards all conducted through the 'Martial Arts Coaching Foundation'.

How safe is Kickboxing?
In a nutshell, very. In normal class training even when practicing non or very light contact techniques, full protective equipment is necessary.

Do I have to fight in the ring?
No! Very few students actually want to fight in the ring. If they do, obviously we can accommodate them when they are proficient. Regular classes are for fitness, self defence and enjoyment.

What do I have to wear?
All Students must wear an official PKA-Kickboxing uniform which consists of a tunic/t-shirt and trousers. The basic uniform is included free with your membership.

Will I feel out of place to begin with?
It is natural that everyone taking up Kickboxing for the first time will feel slightly nervous. Don't worry everyone else will too and the instructor recognizes this.

How quickly will I progress?
We provide the best instruction anywhere and if it is combined with your commitment to regular training, you will make fast progress.

How much does it cost for Adults?
Our fees are very reasonable and are structured to allow everybody to participate. For just £24 per calendar month [only £5.50 per class!!] you can enjoy one of our quality sessions per week. Under 16’s and students can enjoy a reduced price of only £20 per calendar month.

Or why not take advantage of our excellent discounted fees for multiple training. Train up to five days a week if you wish for only £40 a month that’s less than £1.85 per session. Again under 16’s and students are offered a further reduction of only £35 per calendar month. Our members at Leicester PKA find this offer very advantageous, by training more than one class per week it has enhanced their progression and development.

How much does it cost for Children?
Children’s classes cost £4 per session. After 2-3 classes all participants are required to become club members.
